Vicorp gets court approval to name Jones as sole member of board

Pittsburgh, May 8 - Vicorp Restaurants, Inc. received court approval to appoint Lori Lapin Jones as the sole member of its board of directors, according to a Friday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

Jones is an attorney with bankruptcy experience in the public and private sectors, according to the filing.

The two other members of the company's board, Michael Solot and Robert Cummings, have resigned.

Jones will receive compensation of $6,000 a month plus out-of-pocket disbursements.

Vicorp, a Denver-based restaurant operator, filed for bankruptcy on April 3, 2008. Its Chapter 11 case number is 08-10623.
