Moody's lifts Argentina banks

Moody's Investors Service said it upgraded the foreign currency deposit ratings to Caa1 from Caa2 for Banco de la Nación Argentina, Banco de Galicia y Buenos Aires SA, Banco de la Provincia de Buenos Aires, Banco Rio de la Plata SA, BBVA Banco Frances SA, Banco Hipotecario SA, BankBoston, N.A. (Argentina), Banco de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires, Banco Macro Bansud SA, Banco Credicoop Cooperativo Limitado, Banco Comafi SA, Banco del Tucuman SA, Banco Banex SA, Banco Societe Generale SA (Banco Supervielle) and Banco de Valores SA following Moody's upgrade of Argentina's foreign currency ceiling for bank deposits to Caa1.

Moody's also said it raised the national-scale foreign currency deposit ratings to Ba1(ar) from B1(ar) of Banco de la Provincia de Buenos Aires, Banco Rio de la Plata SA, Banco de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires, Banco Macro Bansud SA, Banco Credicoop Cooperativo Limitado, Banco Comafi SA, Banco del Tucuman SA, Banco Banex SA, Banco Societe Generale SA (Banco Supervielle) and Banco de Valores SA.

All have a stable outlook.
