Vertis granted three-month exclusivity extension to devise wind down

By Jim Witters

Wilmington, Del., Nov. 22 - Vertis Holdings, Inc. received approval for a 90-day extension of its exclusive periods for filing and soliciting votes on a Chapter 11 plan, according to a Nov. 22 filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

The exclusive period for filing a plan is extended through Feb. 3 from Nov. 4. The exclusive period for soliciting plan votes is extended through April 7 from Jan. 6.

In requesting the extensions, the company said it needed the additional time to resolve the remaining issues pending in its bankruptcy case and move forward with the most efficient and cost-effective wind-down of its estates.

The company also said that maintaining order in its case will serve to avoid disruption to its remaining operations.

Vertis, a Baltimore-based marketing communications company, filed for bankruptcy on Oct. 10, 2012. Its Chapter 11 case number is 12-12821.
