Verizon New York to redeem $2.5 billion of series A debentures

Kansas City, Kan., Oct. 31 - Verizon New York Inc. called all of its outstanding series A debentures for redemption on Nov. 28.

The affected debentures include: $1 billion of 6.875% series A debentures due April 1, 2012; $500 million of 6.125% series A debentures due March 1, 2012; and $1 billion of 6 7/8% series A debentures due April 1, 2012.

The redemption price is the sum of remaining scheduled payments of principal and interest discounted at the Treasury rate on a semi-annual basis to the redemption date, plus 30 basis points, plus accrued interest to the redemption date.

U.S. Bank, NA is the agent.
