New York, March 29 - The Banco de Mexico announced the results of its weekly auction of bonds. Monday's sale came in two parts, one for 5.5 billion pesos and one for 550 million UDIs.
Mexico accepted bids for 5.5 billion pesos of 9½% Bonos 5A bonds with a maturity of December 2014. The bonds priced at 110.93883 to yield 6.78%. Demand totaled 12.91 billion pesos in this auction.
Mexico also accepted bids for 550 million UDIs of 4% bonds with a maturity of June 2019. The bonds priced at 104.52 to yield 3.43%. A total of 1,068,250,000 of UDIs was received in this auction.
