Fitch rates Ventas notes BBB+

Fitch Ratings said it assigned a BBB+ rating to the senior unsecured notes being issued by Ventas Realty, LP, the operating partnership of Ventas, Inc. The agency’s issuer rating for Ventas is BBB+.

Fitch expects the proceeds to be used to refinance a similar amount of secured debt to be assumed through the pending acquisition of New Senior Investment Group.

The outlook is negative.
