Velocity Express three-member unsecured creditors committee appointed

Pittsburgh, Oct. 6 - Velocity Express Corp.'s official committee of unsecured creditors has been appointed by acting Region 3 U.S. Trustee Roberta A. DeAngelis, according to a Tuesday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.
The committee is comprised of Michael Davidson of City Express Courier Service of Bethesda, Md.; Althie Toro of Morton West LLC of New York; and Victor Finnegan of American Expediting Co. of Philadelphia.
Velocity Express, a regional delivery services provider based in Westport, Conn., filed for bankruptcy on Sept. 24. Its Chapter 11 case number is 09-13294.
