Banco de Galicia y Buenos Aires to repurchase $26.8 million notes

Pittsburgh, Sept. 28 - Banco de Galicia y Buenos Aires SA received tenders from holders of $26.8 million of its class A notes due 2014 as of the company's Sept. 25 offer deadline, according to a company news release.

The notes tendered represent a total of 11.4% of the outstanding notes.

The company said it will buy back all of the notes tendered on Oct. 2 and cancel them.

As previously noted, the Buenos Aires bank offered to pay $900 for each $1,000 of notes tendered.
