VarTec Telecom posts $3.05 million April operating profit

Pittsburgh, May 23 - VarTec Telecom, Inc. reported an operating profit of $3.05 million for April on revenues of $26.92 million, according to its monthly operating report filed Monday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Texas.
The figures compare to a $3.64 million March operating profit on revenues of $28.43 million.
Net profit for April was $693,357, down from a $1.01 million March net profit.
Cash on April 30 was $54.64 million, compared with $50.70 million at the end of March.
VarTec, a Dallas-based telecommunications provider, filed for bankruptcy Nov. 1, 2004. Its Chapter 11 case number is 04-81694.
