VarTec Telecom posts $59.64 million October net profit

Pittsburgh, Nov. 22 - VarTec Telecom, Inc. reported a $59.64 million net profit for October on revenues of $35.15 million, according to its monthly operating report filed Monday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Texas.
In September, the company posted a $1.56 million net profit on revenues of $36.20 million.
Total cash on Oct. 31 was $30.88 million, up from $24.14 million at the end of September.
VarTec, a Dallas-based telecommunications provider, filed for bankruptcy Nov. 1, 2004. Its Chapter 11 case number is 04-81694.
