Moody's may upgrade six Chilean banks

Moody's Investors Service said it placed the Baa1 long-term foreign currency deposit ratings of its six rated Chilean banks on review for possible upgrade. The outlook for all other ratings is stable.

The action follows Moody's placement of Chile's Baa1 foreign currency country ceilings for bank deposits, bonds and notes on review for possible upgrade.

The banks affected are Banco de Credito e Inversiones, Banco BICE, Banco de Chile, Banco del Estado de Chile, Banco Santander-Chile and Scotiabank Sud Americano.
