S&P revises Credito e Inversiones view to stable

S&P said it revised Banco de Credito e Inversiones’ outlook to stable from negative.

“About 28% of BCI's loan book is now located in the U.S. The revision of the bank's outlook incorporates the positive impact of the decreasing risks for banks operating in the U.S due to a faster economic rebound on the back of government stimulus, extraordinary actions by the Federal Reserve, and vaccine distribution. We expect U.S. real GDP growth of 6.5% in 2021 and 3.1% in 2022,” S&P said in a press release.

The agency also affirmed the bank’s A- long-term issuer credit and senior unsecured ratings.
