S&P affirms Banco de Credito del Peru

Standard & Poor's said it affirmed its BBB long-term and A-2 short-term issuer credit ratings on Banco de Credito del Peru.

At the same time, the agency said it affirmed its BB+ junior subordinated debt rating. The outlook remains positive.

The issuer credit ratings on the bank continue to reflect S&P's opinion of its strong business position, adequate capital and earnings and risk position and S&P's view of its average funding and adequate liquidity.

The bank's stand-alone credit profile is bbb+.

S&P said it expects the bank to maintain its leading market position within the Peruvian banking system as well as adequate capital and earnings to cope with expected loan portfolio and risk weighted assets growth over the next two years.
