S&P lifts Peru bank outlooks

Standard & Poor's said it revised its long-term rating outlooks on Banco de Credito del Peru and BBVA Banco Continental to positive from stable.

Both banks have long-term ratings of BBB and Credito del Peru has a short-term rating of A-2.

The agency said the rating action on the banks follows S&P's outlook revision on Peru. If S&P upgrades the sovereign, the agency said it would also raise the ratings on the banks.

Both banks have stand-alone credit profiles of bbb+.
