Moody's: Chilean banks up to positive

Moody's Investors Service said it changed to positive from stable the outlooks for the rated Chilean banks' Baa1 long-term foreign currency deposit ratings.

Affected banks include Banco Santander-Chile, Banco de Chile, Banco del Estado de Chile, Banco de Credito and Banco BiCE.

This action is in line with the change in outlook that Moody's placed on Chile's Baa1 foreign currency country ceilings for bank deposits, bonds and notes.

The outlook change also affected Moody's Baa1 foreign currency subordinated debt rating for Scotiabank Sud Americano, which is constrained by the country ceiling. This rating now has a positive outlook.
