S&P: Banco de Chile notes A+

Standard & Poor's said it assigned its A+ long-term issue rating to Banco de Chile SA's issuance of up to $100 million of senior unsecured notes to be issued Peruvian soles.

The agency said the rating is in line with the bank's long-term issuer credit rating because the notes will rank pari passu with the bank's other unsecured debt obligations.

S&P said the issuer credit ratings on Banco de Chile reflect its strong business position, adequate capital and earnings, strong risk position and average funding with adequate liquidity.
