Van Kampen Series 1164 registers Dow Jones Large Cap Growth units

San Diego, Nov. 10 - Van Kampen Unit Trusts, Series 1164 has registered units of its Dow Jones Large Cap Growth Strategy 2011-4 portfolio, according to an S-6 amendment filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The depositor is Houston-based Van Kampen Funds Inc.

The trust seeks above-average capital appreciation by using an enhanced index strategy to select a portfolio of 20 stocks from the Dow Jones U.S. Large Cap Growth index.

As of the initial date of deposit, Nov.10, there is $148,479 of contracts to purchase securities. The 14,998 units each have a public offering price of $10 and a net asset value of $9.655.

Each unit will have a maximum sales charge of 2.95%, comprising a 1% initial sales charge, a 1.45% deferred sales charge and a 0.5% creation and development fee. The sales charge may be reduced down to 1.2% depending on the amount of investment.

The trust has a mandatory termination date of Feb. 11, 2013.
