Van Kampen Series 1201 offers units of two separate portfolios

Minneapolis, March 9 - Van Kampen Unit Trusts, Series 1201 is offering units of its Dow Jones Total Market Portfolio, Enhanced Index Strategy 2012-2 and Enhanced Sector Strategy, Sector Rotation Portfolio 2012-2, according to an S-6 amendment with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The depositor is Houston-based Van Kampen Funds Inc.

The Dow Jones Total Market Portfolio will seek above-average capital appreciation by investing in stocks of domestic companies that are selected by applying the following 10 sector strategies: the Basic Materials Strategy, the Consumer Goods Strategy, the Consumer Services Strategy, the Energy Strategy, the Financials Strategy, the Health Care Strategy, the Industrials Strategy, the Technology Strategy, the Telecommunications Strategy and the Utilities Strategy.

On the initial date of deposit, March 9, $252,497 in contracts to purchase securities comprises the trust. The 25,505 units each have a public offering price of $10 and a net asset value of $9.681. The estimated net annual income is $0.07889 per unit.

The Enhanced Sector Strategy, Sector Rotation Portfolio will seek above-average capital appreciation by investing in stocks selected by applying three of the 10 strategies available to the Dow Jones Total Market Portfolio.

On the initial date of deposit, March 9, $149,178 in contracts to purchase securities comprises the trust. The 15,069 units each have a public offering price of $10 and a net asset value of $9.655.

Each unit will have a maximum sales charge of 2.95%, consisting of a 1% initial sales charge, a 1.45% deferred sales charge and a 0.5% creation and development fee. The fee may be reduced on a sliding scale to 1.2% depending on the amount of investment.

The trusts have a mandatory termination date of June 10, 2013.
