Van Kampen series 1161 pinpoints 10 stocks with highest dividends

San Diego, Nov. 2 - Van Kampen Unit Trusts, series 1161 has registered units of its Select 10 Industrial Portfolio 2011-6, according to an S-6 amendment filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The depositor is Houston-based Van Kampen Funds Inc.

The trust seeks to provide above-average total returns by investing in the 10 highest dividend-yielding stocks in the Dow Jones industrial average and holding them for about one year.

As of the initial date of deposit, Nov. 1, there is $146,920 of contracts to purchase securities. The 14,841 units each have a public offering price of $10.00 and a net asset value of $9.687.

The estimated net annual income is $0.37371 per unit.

Each unit will have a maximum sales charge of 2.95%, comprised of a 1% initial sales charge, a 1.45% deferred sales charge and a 0.5% creation and development fee.

The trust has a mandatory termination date of Dec. 31, 2012.
