Van Kampen California names three investment managers as co-portfolio managers of two municipal trusts

Knoxville, Tenn., May 21 - Van Kampen California Value Municipal Income Trust's manager, the Municipals Team of Van Kampen Asset Management, announced that Robert W. Wimmel, William Black and Mark Paris, each an executive director of Van Kampen Asset Management, are now the co-portfolio managers of the trust.

Van Kampen Asset Management also announced that the three managers will be the co-portfolio managers of Van Kampen Trust for Insured Municipals.

The trio will have joint primary responsibility for the day-to-day management and the execution of the overall strategy of the trusts' portfolios.

Wimmel has been an investment manager at Van Kampen Asset Management since 1996 and began managing the trust in November 2001.

Black has been an investment manager at Van Kampen Asset Management since 1998 and began managing the trust in December 2007.

Paris has been an investment manager at Van Kampen Asset Management since 2002 and began managing the trust in May.

Chicago-based Van Kampen Asset Management is a subsidiary of Van Kampen Investments Inc., an investment management company.
