Goldman plans trigger performance notes linked to Vanguard FTSE EM ETF

Tacoma, Wash., Feb. 5 – Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. plans to price 0% trigger performance securities due Feb. 28, 2020 linked to the Vanguard FTSE Emerging Markets exchange-traded fund, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
If the ETF return is positive, the payout at maturity will be par of $10 plus 126% to 136% of the ETF return. The exact participation rate will be set at pricing. Investors will receive par if the ETF falls by 25% or less and will be fully exposed to losses from the initial level if it falls by more than 25%.
Goldman Sachs & Co. is the underwriter.
The notes are expected to price Feb. 24 and settle Feb. 27.
The Cusip number is 38148L569.
