Banco Continental de Panama to issue $150 million five-year bonds

New York, Nov. 4 - Banco Continental de Panama SA (BCP) plans to issue $150 million five-year bonds (/BBB-/BBB- expected), according to a market source.

Citigroup is running the Rule 144A/Regulation S transaction.

A roadshow is expected to start the week of Nov. 7.

Proceeds from the sale will be used for short-term debt refinancing and for general corporate purposes.

Panama City-based Banco Continental is a private commercial bank in Panama (Ba1/BB/BB+).
