Vale Overseas to bring $300 million 10-year notes via Deutsche Bank Securities

St. Louis, July 29 - Vale Overseas Ltd. will start a roadshow during the week of July 28 for an offering of $300 million notes due 2013 (Ba2), according to a market source.

The prospective issuer is a subsidiary of Companhia Vale do Rio Doce, which will guarantee the bonds.

Deutsche Bank Securities and Morgan Stanley are bookrunners on the Rule 144A deal.

Proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes.

Companhia Vale do Rio Doce is a Brazilian iron ore producer.
