New Issue: Mexico's Banco Compartamos sells Ps. 500 million of local-bank floaters

Chicago, July 20 - Banco Compartamos, SA, Institucion de Banca Multiple (/mxAA-/AA-(mex)) said it obtained Ps. 500 million through the public issuance of local-bank bonds in the local debt capital markets.

The bonds are due in three years and have a coupon of TIIE, or interbank equilibrium interest rate, plus 200 basis points.

The offering "reinforces the bank's strong financial and liquidity position and reaffirms its ability to access diversified funding sources to meet expected growth for the upcoming years," the bank said in a press release.

Banco Compartamos is a Mexico City-based bank specializing in microfinance.
