Columbia Wanger increases stake to 8.01% in Vail Resorts

Philadelphia, Feb. 9 - Columbia Wanger Asset Management LP increased its investment to 8.01% in Vail Resorts Inc. as of Dec. 31, 2008, according to an SC 13G/A filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
That represents a passive stake of 2,942,000 shares.
Those holdings are up from the passive stake of 7.3%, or 2,825,300 shares, that the investor reported owning on Dec. 31, 2007, according to another SC 13G/A filing.
Vail Resorts is a Broomfield, Colo., mountain resort operator.
