Moody's rates Banco Comafi notes Ba2

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned a Ba2 global local-currency rating to the $100 million senior unsecured Argentine peso-linked notes due 2012 issued by Banco Comafi SA. Moody's also assigned an Aa2.ar local-currency rating on the national scale to the notes.

The outlook on the local-currency debt rating is stable.

The agency said the Ba2 local-currency bond rating reflects Comafi's improved financial fundamentals and its modest market share of domestic deposits. Moody's assessment of a moderate probability of systemic support is reflected by its Ba2 global local-currency deposit rating.
