Moody’s reports ratings actions on Portuguese banks

Moody’s Investors Service reported ratings changes to six Portuguese banks after a change in Portugal’s macro profile to Moderate+ from Moderate.

The agency affirmed Caixa Geral de Depositivos, SA’s senior unsecured debt ratings at Ba1.

The outlook on the senior unsecured debt ratings was revised to stable from negative.

Moody’s raised Banco Comercial Portugues, SA’s senior unsecured program to (P)Ba1 from (P)Ba2.

It affirmed Banco Santander Totta SA’s long-term senior unsecured debt ratings at Baa3 and revised the outlook on the senior unsecured debt to stable from negative.

Moody’s affirmed long-term senior unsecured debt ratings for Novo Banco SA at Caa2. It also revised the outlook on the senior unsecured debt ratings to positive from negative.

The agency affirmed Banco BPI SA’s senior unsecured program at (P)Ba1.

Moody’s placed the senior unsecured rating for Caixa Economica Montepio Geral of (P)B3 on review for downgrade.
