Fitch gives Banca Comerciala Romana bond BB+

Fitch Ratings said it assigned Banca Comerciala Romana's forthcoming bond issue an expected BB+ rating.

The bank is rated long-term BB+, short-term B, individual C/D and support 3, Fitch said, noting the long-term, short-term and support ratings are on Rating Watch positive.

The agency said the rating watch will be resolved on the completion of the planned sale of a majority stake in the bank to a foreign investor. Last month, it was announced that Banco Comercial Portugues (A+) and Erste Bank der oesterreichischen Sparkassen (A) had been selected for the final round of bidding for a majority stake in the bank.
