Bally Total Fitness operating loss widens to $8.2 million in March

Pittsburgh, April 21 - Bally Total Fitness Holding Corp. reported an $8.2 million operating loss for March on $53.01 million in net revenues, according to its monthly operating report filed Monday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

The figures compared to a $7.91 million operating loss posted in February on $49.05 million in net revenues.

The March net loss was $10.51 million, widening from a $9.97 million February net loss.

As of March 31, Bally had $62.26 million in cash and cash equivalents, up from $56.93 million at the end of February.

Bally, a Chicago-based fitness center operator, filed for bankruptcy on Dec. 3. Its Chapter 11 case number is 08-14818.
