Tyco files automatic shelf registration for debt securities, shares

Knoxville, Tenn., Dec. 16 - Tyco International Ltd. and Tyco International Finance SA jointly filed an automatic shelf registration in an S-3 ASR filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The registration covers debt securities, registered shares, purchase contracts, warrants, units and guarantees of debt securities.

The securities may be structured as convertibles.

Proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes.

Based in Pembroke, Bermuda, Tyco produces electronics, fire and security, health care and engineered products and services.
