TW Liquidation granted third exclusivity extension in four months

By Lisa Kerner

Charlotte, N.C., Aug. 23 - TW Liquidation Corp. received a third extension of its exclusive periods for filing and soliciting votes on a plan of reorganization, according to an Aug. 23 filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

The company's exclusive filing period was extended to Oct. 14 from Aug. 16 and the solicitation period to Dec. 16 from Oct. 17.

TW Liquidation requested the third extension immediately after being granted its second extension because it wanted more time to review potential claims before deciding on a strategy for the future of its bankruptcy case, a prior filing said.

Previously, the court extended the company's exclusive plan-filing period to Aug. 16 from June 17 and the solicitation period to Oct. 17 from Aug. 16.

In April, the court extended Townsends' exclusive plan-filing period to June 17 from April 18 and the solicitation period to Aug. 16 from June 17.

TW Liquidation was formerly Townsends, Inc., a Georgetown, Del.-based poultry processor that filed for bankruptcy on Dec. 19, 2010. Its Chapter 11 case number is 10-14092.
