S&P: Trustmark view negative

Standard & Poor's said it revised its outlook on Trustmark Corp. and its principal banking subsidiary, Trustmark National Bank, to negative from stable.

The agency said it also affirmed its BBB+ and A- long-term issuer credit ratings on Trustmark and Trustmark National, respectively.

"The outlook revision mostly reflects our view of the BancTrust acquisition's negative effect on Trustmark's capital," said S&P credit analyst Kevin Cole in a news release.
