Fitch affirms Trustmark

Fitch Ratings said it affirmed the A- insurer financial strength ratings of Trustmark Insurance Co. and Trustmark Life Insurance Co.

The outlook is stable.

Fitch said that it rates these companies on a combined basis given their shared senior management, investment management and brand identification.

The affirmations follows Fitch's evaluation of the company's recent operating performance and reflect continued strength in Trustmark's capital position.

Fitch said that its primary concerns involve Trustmark's modest competitive position in the health insurance market, where size and network strength have become crucial to maintaining market position.
