Triton Aviation evaluating options, plans to make interest payments

By Caroline Salls

Pittsburgh, April 10 – Triton Aviation Finance is evaluating its strategic alternatives, according to a news release.

The company hired Latham & Watkins LLP as legal counsel to assist with its evaluation.

Triton said its options include a liquidation and distribution of its remaining assets under an equitable proceeding under state law.

While it is considering these and other alternatives, the company said it expects to continue to make interest payments on the subclass A-1 notes as required by the trust indenture.

However, Triton said it does not expect, after taking into account required payments of expenses and establishment of reserves, to have funds available for principal distributions outside of a formal resolution.

Triton is a San Francisco-based statutory trust.
