Trimeris, Hoffman-LaRoche extend joint research agreement by one year

Washington, Feb. 21 - Trimeris, Inc. and drug giant Hoffman-LaRoche Ltd. said Tuesday they have extended their joint research plan to Dec. 31, 2006 from Jan. 1, 2006.

The companies are aiming to set a budget for the extended agreement by March 31.

Morrisville, N.C.-based Trimeris is a biopharmaceutical company engaged in the discovery, development and commercialization of novel therapeutic agents for the treatment of viral disease.

The announcement was made in an 8-K filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
