Tricom misses principal payment on 11 3/8% senior notes

Washington, Sept. 1 - Tricom SA missed the Sept. 1 principal payment on its $200 million of 11 3/8% senior notes due 2004, the company said.

The full-service telecommunications provider based in the Dominican Republic suspended the principal and interest payments on its secured debt, including the senior notes, in October 2003.
