Trico seeks approval to sell eight vessels for combined $7.3 million

Pittsburgh, Nov. 3 - Trico Marine Services, Inc. is requesting court approval to sell eight vessels for a combined $7.3 million under two private sales, according to a Tuesday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

The company has agreed to sell its Trinity River, Suwanee River, Roe River, Oak River, and Elm River vessels to GML (Offshore and Petroleum Ltd.) for a total of $5.8 million.

In addition, Trico has agreed to sell its Carson River, East River and Powder River vessels to Sea Lyon Marine, Inc. for $1.5 million.

The company has requested a Nov. 10 hearing on both of the sales.

Trico, a marine services company based in the Woodlands, Texas, filed for bankruptcy on Aug. 25. The Chapter 11 case number is 10-12653.
