Gabelli and Gamco buy 357,000 shares of Tredegar

Charlotte, N.C., June 20 - Tredegar Corp. investors led by Gabelli Funds, LLC and Gamco Asset Management Inc. upped their interest in the company to 8.18% from 7.14% on April 4, with the purchase of 357,000 shares of the company's stock following a series of buy and sell transactions between May 22 and June 19.

The shares were priced from $14.07 to $15.05 each, according to a schedule 13D filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The reporting persons own 2,806,825 shares of the company's stock.

Tredegar is based in Richmond, Va., and, through its subsidiaries, manufacture plastic films and aluminum extrusions primarily for personal and household care products and for packaging and surface protection applications.
