Fitch affirms Travelers

Fitch Ratings said it affirmed its ratings on Travelers Cos., Inc. as follows: issuer default rating at A+; senior unsecured notes at A; subordinated notes at BBB+; and insurer financial strength on insurance company subsidiaries at AA.

The outlooks are stable.

The agency said that Travelers' ratings continue to be founded on its strong competitive position, history of solid earnings and prudent capital management.
