Travelers to sell fixed-rate senior notes due 2053

Lexington, Ky., May 22 – Travelers Cos., Inc. is selling fixed-rate senior notes due 2053, according to a 424B3 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes have a make-whole call until some months before maturity and then are callable at par.

Citigroup Global Markets Inc., Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC, Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC, TD Securities (USA) LLC and Wells Fargo Securities, LLC are the bookrunners.

Bank of New York Mellon Trust Co., NA will be the trustee.

Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP is acting as legal counsel for Travelers. Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP is advising the bookrunners in legal matters.

Proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes.

Travelers is a New York-based holding company for auto, home and business property casualty insurance companies.
