Travelers to sell 30-year notes; talk Treasuries plus 100 bps area

Knoxville, Tenn., June 3 – Travelers Cos., Inc. is selling fixed-rate senior notes due June 8, 2051, according to a 424B3 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Price talk is in the Treasuries plus 100 basis points area, according to a market source.

The notes have a make-whole call and then are callable at par.

Barclays, BofA Securities Inc., Credit Suisse Securities (USA) LLC and U.S. Bancorp Investments Inc. are the bookrunners.

Proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes.

Travelers is a New York-based holding company for auto, home and business property casualty insurance companies.
