Argentina's TGS buys back $3 million of its 7 7/8% notes

New York, Feb. 19 - Transportadora de Gas del Sur SA said in a letter to the Securities and Exchange Commission that it bought back $3 million of its 7 7/8% notes due May 14, 2017.

The company said it repurchased the notes in the open market and intends to cancel the notes.

TGS issued $500 million of the notes on May 14, 2007.

TGS is a Buenos Aires-based transporter of natural gas in Argentina.
