Fitch: Transocean unaffected

Fitch Ratings said Transocean, Inc.'s BBB issuer default, senior unsecured debt and senior unsecured bank credit facility ratings are unchanged after the company announced plans to move the place of incorporation of its group holding company from the Cayman Islands to Switzerland.

Also unchanged are the company's F2 short-term issuer default and commercial paper ratings and GlobalSantaFe's BBB issuer default and senior unsecured debt ratings.

The outlook is stable.

In connection with the redomestication, the company will relocate 14 officers to the company's new headquarters in Geneva, including the chief executive officer and other senior executives. As currently proposed, Fitch does not anticipate the move will result in changes to the company's ratings.
