By Andrea Heisinger

Omaha, May 5 - TransAlta Corp. announced Monday it will price 10-year senior unsecured notes, market sources said.

Pricing is expected Tuesday, a source close to the issue said.

The notes (Baa2/BBB) have price talk of Treasuries plus 350 basis points. They feature a change-of-control put of 101% if the notes fall below an investment-grade rating.

HSBC Securities Inc. and Citigroup Global Markets Inc. are the bookrunners.

The electric energy company is based in Calgary, Alta.
