Tower Automotive reports $7.62 million December operating loss

Pittsburgh, Feb. 1 - Tower Automotive, Inc. reported a $7.62 million operating loss for December on revenues of $98.64 million, according to its monthly operating report filed Thursday with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

In November, the company posted a $12.08 million operating loss on revenues of $116.47 million.

The December net loss was $17.64 million, slipping slightly from a $16.61 million November net loss.

Cash and cash equivalents on Dec. 31 were $5.71 million, compared with $4.38 million at the end of November.

The Novi, Mich.-based auto parts maker filed for bankruptcy on Feb. 1, 2005 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York. Its Chapter 11 case number is 05-10578.
