Morgan Stanley plans buffered PLUS due 2021 tied to Tokyo Stock Price

Olympia, Wash., Jan. 7 – Morgan Stanley Finance LLC plans to price 0% buffered Performance Leveraged Upside Securities due Feb. 3, 2021 linked to the Tokyo Stock Price index, according to an FWP filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The payout at maturity will be par plus at least 200% of any index gain, capped at par plus 26.6%.

Investors will receive par if the index falls by up to 15% and will be exposed to any losses of the index beyond the buffer.

The notes are guaranteed by Morgan Stanley.

Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC is the agent. Morgan Stanley Wealth Management is handling distribution.

The notes will price on Jan. 31.

The Cusip number is 61768W525.
