TMBThanachart Bank buys back $28.96 million 4.9% tier 1 notes

Lexington, Ky., Oct. 12 – TMBThanachart Bank PCL repurchased in the open market $28.96 million of its 4.9%. perpetual additional tier 1 capital securities (ISIN: XS2084378798), according to a notice.

The buyback represents 7.24% of the total principal amount outstanding.

The notes will be canceled.

They were issued under the bank’s $3 billion euro medium term note program.

The bank, formerly known as TMB Bank PCL, is based in Bangkok and provides a full range of banking and financial services to customers throughout Thailand. It also has branches in Hong Kong, Laos, and the Cayman Islands.
