Discovery Equity owns 7.7% of Tier Technologies

Charlotte, N.C., Aug. 20 - A group of Tier Technologies, Inc. investors led by Discovery Equity Partners, LP bought 294,133 shares between June 18 and Aug. 19 at prices from $7.17 to $8.25.

The transactions were reported in a schedule 13D filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Discovery Equity and its affiliates beneficially own 1,512,686 shares, or 7.7%, of the Reston, Va., transaction processing solutions company.
