THQ posts $23.75 million of income from operations for February period

Pittsburgh, April 9 - THQ Inc. posted $23.75 million of income from operations for the period of Feb. 3 through March 2 on sales of $291.35 million, according to its monthly operating report filed Tuesday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

Those figures showed improvement over the $17.47 million loss from operations reported for the period of Jan. 1 through Feb. 2 on sales of $252.07 million.

Net income for February was $17.6 million, compared with a $23.13 million January net loss.

The company also reported cash and cash equivalents of $60.21 million as of March 2, down from $70.58 million at Feb. 2.

THQ, a developer and publisher of video games based in Agoura Hills, Calif., filed for bankruptcy on Dec. 19. Its Chapter 11 case number is 12-13398.
