Thompson Creek files automatic shelf covering stock, debt, preferreds

Knoxville, Tenn., Oct. 29 - Thompson Creek Metals Co. filed an automatic shelf registration in an S-3-ASR filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The registration covers common stock, first preferred stock, debt securities, depositary shares representing first preferred stock, warrants, stock purchase contracts and stock purchase units.

The securities may be structured as convertibles.

Proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes.

Thompson Creek is a Denver-based pure molybdenum producer.
